Jacob Delafon invited the press to visit its factory in Tangier last weekend to celebrate its 130 years of expertise in the world of the bathroom.

With an output of more than 1.5 million pieces a year, the Tangier plant is considered one of the main production centres of the American group Kohler. The brand has long accompanied feminine elegance and now seeks to protect nature by treating its industrial water — saving 3,500 m³ a month — and by limiting its fuel and gas consumption, for an annual reduction of 40% in CO₂.

Established in Morocco since 1980, the Jacob Delafon factory has continued to grow since 2010, increasing its production capacity by more than 75%.

The press trip revealed the scale of the facility and its flawless organisation, which enable its 500 employees to meet the demands of the European Union, Maghreb, Russian, Middle Eastern and African markets.

Kohler — world leader in the kitchen and bathroom industry, ranked No. 1 in American investment in Morocco — is also a loyal partner of the Tanjazz festival.
